Port O’ Call opened in 1989, with just the Main Floor. The building itself was built in 1912 so you can imagine the older elements that create the homey, comfortable atmosphere you’ll be feeling. The signature bar is older than the building and some rumors have it that it was carved in Europe. Looking closely at the two inner pillars you will see that they have been replaced, once being bare breasted females before someone decided they might be a little too risqué for Utah and they have been replaced with only the face and head showing. In the beginning the Main Floor was the only part of the club. Over the years we have expanded and grown. At 32,000 sq. ft. Port O’ Call is one of the largest clubs you will find anywhere. With a comfortable Pub like atmosphere of our Main Floor with it large windows, that gives you an airy & open feeling many never venture further to see the rest of the club.
The game room is Downstairs. With many Pool Tables, Foosball, Pinball, and Video games there is plenty to keep you entertained. Also there are televisions every where you look, (50 TV’S/18 SATELLITES) they’re not hard to find, many of them are big screens. The satellite/receiver systems allow you to watch most any game of any sport you may be interested in. There are three bars to satisfy your needs.
The Patio located upstairs from the Main Floor happens to be the best kept secret of the Club…Oops! It’s a place where everyone enjoys the warmth of the sunlight by day and the stars at night. Our domed ceiling enclosures allows our Patio to be open year round and is a great place to meet friends. Be sure to check the neon signs inside of the bar top.
Our Club Room is our latest addition. Also located upstairs, with a large stage and dance floor it is the perfect place for you to come and get your groove on, or see a great musical act such as: Sam Bush, Robert Earl Keen, War, Little Feat, Tone Loc, Coolio, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Maceo Parker, & The Young Dubliners. Featuring our DJ Birdman on Friday nights and great local bands on Saturday nights, the Clubroom is the place to be. Above the dance floor is a Mezzanine level, where you can sit and enjoy the scenery. Bars are located on both levels to satisfy your thirst. You’ll love THE PORT if you are looking for a sports bar, a nightclub, a restaurant, a billiards club, or a game room, because THE PORT has it all. We try to cater to everyone’s wishes. We are open 365 days a year, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 AM. With two exceptions; we open the doors at 5:00 PM on Christmas & New Years Day.
